Crowning Glory

The “shut-in” months of winter are an ideal time to make some significant improvements in your home… no grass cutting, no weeding, no mulching to monopolize your time…

Most rooms (with a few exceptions) benefit dramatically by the addition of crown molding. From a purely aesthetic point of view, crown molding adds finished “polish”, and enhances the crispness of paint color. From a practical standpoint, the desirability factor of beautiful moldings in a home spell

“S-A-L-E-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y” down the line. Their presence can increase the value of your home considerably, making the cost/benefit ratio a favorable one.

Before embarking on the Spring paint job, use January and February to install (or have installed) crown molding in one or more rooms. For you do-it-yourself-ers, there are excellent books available on trimwork, which will give you the pointers you need to do a great job. Caution: if you are not a perfectionist, leave the job to a professional!
